How You Can Help

Become a Neighbourcare Volunteer

Volunteers help Neighbourcare support older people and people living with disabilities with a range of supports. Without their assistance we could never provide assistance to so many members of our community. We value the time, skills and commitment volunteers bring to our organisation.

The role volunteers perform are;

  • Delivering Meals on Wheels
  • Linen Service
  • Bus assistant for shopping trips and social outings
  • Transport roles
  • Assistance with social support and group activities

Talk to us about how you can join with other like-minded people and share your skills or develop new ones.

Training is provided and volunteers tell us that they gain so much satisfaction from the time they spend with people in their local community.

Volunteer Intake Process

To become a valued member of Neighbourcare’s volunteer team you will need to complete an expression of interest form. A Police Check will be completed and we will discuss with you the roles you are interested in doing. Training is provided and we will regularly seek feedback from you about your volunteering roles.
